The 4K 4Charity Fun Run is a 4km (2.49-mile) run and walk event held annually in Portland, Oregon. With support from local businesses and the Portland tech community, this unique event unifies the City of Portland and raises vital funding to support local educational and career development for underrepresented youth, from kindergarten to high school. This year, all proceeds benefit Rosemary Anderson High School and KairosPDX.

Starting at 3:00 pm under the Burnside Bridge, the out-and-back course runs along the iconic Waterfront and is family-friendly and ADA-accessible. After the run, participants and sponsors are invited to refuel and celebrate at the after-party with complimentary food and drink, games, raffle prizes from local vendors and much more.

In 2018, we are planning to expand our give to include a collegiate scholarship fund for minority high school students, pursing the field of STEM or technology.

Rosemary Anderson High School is a community-based alternative school for students who are not succeeding in the public school setting. RAHS provides open-door year round access to “last chance” completion of a high school education, and is currently achieving a 90% graduation rate amongst students who enroll and attend classes.

KairosPDX is a non-profit organization focused on delivering excellent, equitable education to underserved children, their families and their communities. Through innovative pedagogy, community collaboration and family partnership we are closing Portland’s persistent achievement gap in measurable, sustainable ways. Our mission is to eliminate the prolific racial achievement and opportunity gaps by cultivating confident, creative, compassionate, leaders who exceed expectations at each milestone ages 0-10.
