In Las Vegas, everything is bigger and brighter. For those looking for workouts to channel their inner Cirque du Soleil performer, here are a few outstanding options:
1. Run the Strip
Morning is the best time to enjoy Las Vegas’ most obvious, yet underutilized running route: “The Strip.” Head out before 9 a.m. so you miss the sidewalk traffic and perhaps spot a few extremely late partiers!
I recommend creating a 4-mile loop that connects the MGM Grand Hotel to the Wynn Las Vegas from south to north. This section of the Strip offers nearly a dozen sets of stairs over the roadways to give your legs a phenomenal workout. If you hug the west side of the road, you’ll be more likely to get some warm morning sun, and run by the Bellagio fountain.
2. 100M Lap Swimming
Anyone who enjoys swimming for fitness probably has memories of stellar days swimming outside or those rare sets in an Olympic-sized pool. Combine these images and double it! Now you have an idea of the massive “lane” provided by the main pool at the Wynn Las Vegas.

3. The “Executive Plus” Workout
Nearly every upscale hotel in Las Vegas offers a world-class spa. If you feel like taking it easy this trip, focus on invigorating and then relaxing.
String together 15 minutes of increasing cardio (either on the treadmill, stair climber, or spin bike), followed by 15 minutes of core and free weights. Then, relax and take in everything the spa has to offer. Enjoy the pools, hot tub, or sauna while drinking plenty of cool fluids to kick-start your day feeling hydrated and rejuvenated.
